Prague challenge brings together men’s and women’s competing foil fencing teams and individuals
to be held on: March 22 and 23, 2025 in Prague.

Welcome to fencers and mandatory control of their equipment
18:00 – 21:00: Initial control: Equipment (according to FIE regulations), Weapons (EFC U23 competitions), Masks and gloves, Electric jackets
18:00 – 21:00: Registration, payment, and confirmation of fencers’ participation
07:00: Opening of the competition hall
07:30 – 08:30: Registration and confirmation of individual fencers’ men and initial weapon control
08:15: Referees briefing meeting
09:00: Individual Men competitions
10:00 – 11:00: Confirmation of Women teams fencers
12:00: Teams Women competitions
16:00 – 19:00: Confirmation of foil teams Men

Registration - entry fees
Registration of fencers, coaches and referees from Europe and other continents is only possible for those with a valid EFC license. All registrations must be made via the EFC service portal no later than 7 days preceding the start of the competition.

Referring and Rules of Engagement Formula
The EFC adopts the same formula as those of the FIE Junior World Cups. In individual competitions, pools will be composed as follows:
In team competitions, the composition of the table will be based on the EFC team ranking.

Individual Competition

Each member federation may enrol up to 24 fencers
(aged 13-23) per event. - Host country (Czechia) will have double the number of fencers allowed in each category.
Team Competition
- One team per country, with at least two U-20 fencers per team.
Refereeing
License level: EFC C or FIE referee categories are required
- 1-3 fencers registered: no referee required
- 4-9 fencers registered: 1 referee required
- 10-15 fencers registered: 2 referees required
- 16-24 fencers registered: 3 referees required
- 1 referee per team in team competitions
In the event of non-registration of each required number of referees via the EFC service portal, the associated federation must pay a fee of 500.00 EUR to the EFC. This will be necessary to cover the expenses of the missing referees appointed by the EFC.
Note: The EFC delegate will hold a debrief meeting for all referees 45 minutes before the start of competitions. All referees must attend.

- Individual Competitions: The top 4 finishers will receive prizes.
- Team Competitions: The top 3 teams will receive prizes.
